Q Hello, Ideazon. So who are you?
A Ideazon was founded about five years ago.
Our goal is to enhance the gamers’
experience. We work with the gaming
community; with our partners; with game
developers and publishers; and with top
ranked teams, to maximise comfort,
control, and in-game dominance for our
consumers. Our products are found at
major retail and e-tail merchants in over 30
countries around the world, including all
across Europe, North America, and Asia.
Q What products do you specialise in?
A Our focus is on PC gaming peripherals. We
develop keyboards, mice, game pads and
headsets. Our original product, the Zboard,
is the world’s first gaming keyboard. It is an
interchangeable keyboard system that
includes a specialty gaming keyset with
27 dedicated buttons, main game
commands labelled for ease of use, and is
laid out to better fit your hand. The Zboard
also comes with a standard keyboard that
you can swap into the base to use for your
daily typing needs. Additionally, we work
with publishers and developers to create
game specific keysets for the Zboard.
Some of these titles include World of
Warcraft, CounterStrike and Battlefield
2142. We have two new keyboards
launching shortly for Tabula Rasa and
Guild Wars.
Q We have heard about the MERC Stealth.
What is so special about this keyboard?
A The MERC Stealth is hands down the best
illuminated keyboard in gaming! It has
three colours and three levels of intensity;
it’s extremely easy to program with a drag and-
drop interface; and it has a 34-key
gaming terrain and a full keyboard so you
can game and type all at once. It is perfect
for both FPS and MMO games. When you
play on the MERC Stealth, you kill more and
die less. And when that is happening, we
are doing our job!
Q What about the REAPER Edge?
A The REAPER Edge is our newest PC gaming
mouse. It has a 3,200 dpi laser sensor, real
time on-the-fly dpi switching, five
programmable buttons, x and y axis
calibration, and it has an amazing custom
texture finish! We built the REAPER in 2006
to rave reviews, and our users loved it.
Then the community – which has about
50,000 members – told us what we could
do to enhance it even more: and the
REAPER Edge was born!
Q What is coming down the pipe for Ideazon?
A Well, we have launched three special
edition keysets this year for the Zboard.
And in our professional series of Precision
Gaming Tools we have launched the
aforementioned MERC Stealth gaming
keyboard, the REAPER Edge gaming mouse
and the trilogy will be complete when we
launch the BANSHEE gaming headset. The
BANSHEE headset lets you hear amazing
in-game acoustics and speak on an ultraclear
microphone to other players.
