Interactive Ideas Restructure to focus on Infrastructure Software & Services
September 4th 2012 – North London – Value Added distributor Interactive Ideas announced it was withdrawing from retail product distribution in order to focus exclusively on its fast-growing Enterprise software distribution business.
In the last 4 years the company has more than tripled sales to £35.5 million and invested £1 million in a new office and training facility to support the growth of the Enterprise software and services division. It’s success was further endorsed over the past year, when the company was named Specialist Distributor of the Year at the CRN Channel Awards, included in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 and named in The Telegraph 1000 of Britain’s brightest companies.
Mike Trup, Interactive Ideas Managing Director commented: ‘The past 4 years have seen tremendous growth achieved by our Enterprise software and services business with our retail business now accounting for less than 7% of our total revenues. In this challenging environment for retail, we felt the time had come to move to a 100% focus on our Enterprise software and services business. This will free up company resources both in terms of management time and liquidity for investment in this fast growing sector. We see multiple opportunities in the Infrastructure software market such as Open Source, Virtualization and Cloud for the quality of service, flexibility and value-added model that we provide in the U.K. and internationally, as well as our services portfolio.”
