LinuxVAR nominated in UK Linux & Open Source Awards 2006

Interactive Ideas announced today that www.LinuxVAR.net has been nominated for the UK Linux & Open Source Awards in the Best Linux/Open Source Marketing Campaign category. www.LinuxVAR.net is vying with Ubuntu ShipIT and LUG Radio Live marketing campaigns. Both are global names in the Linux industry.

The awards take place at a gala dinner at the Millennium Gloucester hotel, Kensington on Wednesday 25th October 2006 and will be hosted by BBC™s Top Gear Stig (aka Perry McCarthy).

Now in their fourth successive year the UK Linux & Open Source Awards recognise the innovation, application and excellence in Linux and Open Source. The two forms of awards this year are firstly nominated by readers of LinuxUser and Developer, then short-listed and awarded by the panel of judges, and secondly nominated and awarded by the votes that the readers of LinuxUser and Developer place.
